Along with ancestor spirits, Kuy have confidence in other character spirits such as that of the watch lizard (takuat) which they think to generally be image of fertility. The Kuy carry out ceremonies to propitiate the takuat spirit and request fertility from character. They would also go ahead and take tail with the lizard to utilize in divination
